VOLUNTEER SERVICE PROGRAM

Hollyhock educational programs are offered by LI-The Leadership Institute

The Hollyhock Volunteer Service Program is a month-long session for those who are interested in experiencing a deeper sense of the Hollyhock environment. This program is an integrated service and self-insight-learning experience. Participants are in service for 31 hours per week in various Hollyhock departments, as needed, but will have plenty of time to explore and experience the vast beauty of Cortes Island in their off time. Please bring work clothing and rain gear. Also note that this is not a therapeutic program. All participants should be in good physical and emotional health.

Hollyhock will provide you with meals and shared accommodation throughout your Volunteer Service stay for a registration fee of $250 per month, plus $32.50 fees/taxes. Your accommodation is a ten minute walk from Hollyhock in a room shared with one other person with a multi-shared bath.   

During your free time you will have plenty to do and discover at Hollyhock and around Cortes Island . Onsite, you will have the opportunity to enjoy  (availability dependent upon dates chosen):

• morning yoga, meditation and movement sessions
• Hollyhock presenter evenings
• ocean-view, open air hot tubs
• guided nature walks and naturalist events
• weekly talking stick circle
• high speed WiFi access in our chat room
• great chats with inspiring and eclectic new friends

 We're especially in need of folks skilled in carpentry, cooking and gardening.
