Guitar & Mandolin: Acoustic Inspiration

Sep 19 - 23, 2012

Presented by: Marc Atkinson

  • Music

Bring forth musical passion as an instrument of self-expression. You know your basics, now learn the keys to amplify and sustain your love for playing music, finding the path toward YOUR musical potential. Develop skills and techniques to use music as a means of communicating, in much the same way as spoken language. You likely have more music making tools than you're aware of. Access these and you'll make great music. Learn to listen to music and to hear what is happening, to jam with others, to understand musical forms, and to improvise. We will start at the beginning with theory and slowly develop more knowledge while learning to HEAR it and connect it to what you are playing. We will start with natural, easy chord progressions and expand from there.

For intermediate to advanced acoustic guitar and mandolin players (you can pick a melody and strum basic chords).
