Sacred SpaceJun 4 - 9, 2010
Presented by: Alex Stark
Study the art of creating sacred space through feng shui, sacred geometry, and ritual. Sacredness exists in pure form in landscapes and other natural patterns. Humans, on the other hand, access it through consciousness, ritual and design. This program is dedicated to the creation of sacred space within the home, at work, or in outdoor environments. Explore the personal spiritual practices and design principles that are at the heart of sacred design and sanctuary spaces. Participate in rituals for earth healing and space clearing, and for the consecration of land, gardens, and ceremonial structures. The program also includes an all-night vigil, a culmination of the training and a preparation for higher level work, at which participants will sit in meditation, alternating as caretakers of the collective altar that will be constructed as the main vehicle for learning. This is a rare opportunity to study with a master, using the Hollyhock campus to explore landforms, earth energies, and power spots. Alex Stark is an internationally recognized architect, consultant, advisor, and teacher on issues of creativity, efficiency, and design.
