Donna Dryer Perez-Venero, MD, MPH, is a transpersonal psychiatrist who has studied the shamanic tradition of the Hmong hill tribes in Thailand. She is co-founder of Orenda Institute, which seeks to integrate shamanism into modern healing practices.
