Leadership Embodiment for a Sustainable Future

Jun 19 - 23, 2013

Presented by: Wendy Palmer

  • Personal Development

Leadership embodiment draws on the traditions of Aikido and mindfulness to offer simple yet powerful techniques that help you to recognize the body’s habitual stress patterns. Once you recognize the patterns, you can develop alternative response patterns that tap into creativity, power and compassion even when under pressure. Research shows that at least 70% of communication is non-verbal. Learning to unify the body's message with what is being said enhances our capacity for effective leadership and more fulfilling relationships.

Practice three competencies to develop greater capacity to meet life’s challenges with confidence, integrity, compassion and wisdom: 1) being inclusive, 2) listening for the whole, and 3) speaking up clearly without aggression or collapsing

Through cultivating greater leadership presence, you will
  • gain insight into personal reactive patterns and limiting assumptions
  • increase your capacity to live with paradox and the tension between opposites
  • recover balance and clarity when faced with moral, business and political dilemmas
The work offers simple tools that then translate into a deeper understanding of the situation and a capacity to take empowered and skillful action.
