Meditating with the BodyAug 25 - 30, 2013
Presented by: Tami Simon
In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, our body is our most trusted teacher and guide. Learn body-based awareness practices drawn from Tibetan yoga and introduced to the West by pioneering meditation teacher Reginald A. Ray. These practices allow you to sit in meditation in a way that is simultaneously deeply relaxed and keenly alert. The practices include: “The Ten Points” meditation which enables you to drop all tension and unravel your sense of separateness; “Earth Breathing” a powerful exercise for removing any barrier between your personal energy and the energy of the earth; and “Abdominal Breathing for Opening the Central Channel of the Body” a practice that allows you to expel stale energy and open up to boundless awareness.
