“The rational and the lyrical, the formal and the abstract, the known and the unknown … this is the world within a flower, and this is the world we inhabit as photographic artists.”

Practice the art of digital photography with the flowers of the luscious Hollyhock garden as your subject. Experience a mindful, conscious approach to the practice of photography and create a fresh portfolio of evocative images. Learn the seven key components of composition along with visual training in new ways of seeing. Explore the lyrical macro world of flowers where pure creativity awaits you. With one-on-one guidance, ongoing feedback and gentle critique, immerse yourself in photography as an art form.

Participants should have good working familiarity with their DSLR cameras. A regular lens (or zoom) and a macro lens are recommended, as well as a sturdy tripod and cable release, and a laptop computer for downloading images.
